What is peace of mind worth to you?

Came across this Proverb this morning:

Proverbs 17:1
Better a dry crust eaten in peace than a house filled with feasting—and conflict.

How many times have I made decisions to pursue something at the cost of peace.  People do this all time when they work in a job that sucks their life dry just so they can make a little more money, or when they pursue an opportunity that’s laden with  conflict and difficulty just so they can  get something like fun or status.

The older I get, the more I understand that peace is one of God’s greatest gifts to us in life.  Life is tumultuous as it is, so we should weigh our pursuits and value peace more in the equations.

One Response to “What is peace of mind worth to you?”

  1. JanH says:

Inner peace is God’s way of letting us know that all is well in our lives. The second peace disappears from my life, I start searching for where I went wrong. Oh, yes, God is always there to help me find my way.
